ACC Prelims Pt 2 Sat

There are some fun moments in lure coursing. Catching your dog before they are released early is not one of them, but there is still some magic in the moment. Shinju used to wrestle as hard as he could. I let him slip one time and the confidence really built after that -- so did the struggle. 

I don't really know Robin,  the person hanging on for dear life in the photograph, but I am glad she posted the series. It was very entertaining. Thanks to Joe for being there to snap these images.

I know exactly what this feels like.

Friday's work schedule keeps training time short.

this morning we worked for a short time, about 30 minutes, on "sit" and "stay".  We did what Janice Patton calls half-push ups and then moved to stay in different positions.  Neither of my dogs seems to grock the meaning of Down or sit, they just seem to do what comes to them first to do.  The frenzy of hunger is about all they seem to have.  After they calm down a little and they have a few successes, they start to look for my hand signals and they get those correct almost every time.
